Gabriel Moreno

Born in 1973 in Córdoba, Spain. Andalusian artist based in Madrid. Bachelor of Fine Arts, University of Santa Isabel de Hungría, Seville (1992–1997). Featured on the covers of The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times, among others. Named by the prestigious publisher Taschen as one of the 100 most influential illustrators of this decade.

Over the past decade, he has transitioned from illustration to the art world, marking his entry into the contemporary art scene with remarkable momentum. Already in his early years on this new path, his work could be seen in galleries in Hong Kong, Paris, Venice, London, New York, Miami, Monaco and Saint-Tropez, among others, as well as in leading art fairs such as Art Hong Kong and Art Miami. This trajectory has firmly established his strong presence on the international art scene.

“For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror which we are barely able to endure, and it amazes us so, because it serenely disdains to destroy us. Every angel is terrible.”
— Rainer Maria Rilke
